Dear Altar Servers:
I have been receiving many emails and texts concerning Mass and altar serving at St Rose during this Coronavirus outbreak. I have some clarification on this matter as far as St Rose Church.
Father Matthew has cleared out all books and cards from the pews to thoroughly disinfect and clean the Church. He has taken all neccessary precautions to make sure that our Church is a safe place to worship, however, parishioners have to make sure that they keep distance and make NO contact with anyone outside their own family.
If you are scheduled to altar serve, you do not have to serve (although you are further away from anyone!). This is effective immediately! Everyone needs to decide what is best for their family. If you cannot attend Mass, you can watch on TV (EWTN---Ch68) and make a Spriritual Communion. But if you can attend (leave children home though), I would urge you to do so since today has been declared a National Day of Prayer!
