If you or someone you know is considering becoming Catholic but is unsure where to begin, we invite you to consider the RCIA, a journey of faith that will walk you through the steps to become Catholic and walk the life-long journey of following Jesus.

RCIA is a process. It forms a community of inquirers moving through the education, formation and ritualization of entrance into the Catholic community. Those interested in learning about the Catholic faith come together on a regular basis to learn about the scriptures and the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, and at the same time, to discover where God is present in their lives.

Any adult, 18 years and older may participate in the RCIA process. RCIA is open to all individuals who would like to become fully initiated Catholics. This can include:

• The unbaptized. The primary focus of the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is on those who are not already Christian and have not been catechized.
• Baptized but received no instruction. Those who have been baptized either as Roman Catholics or as members of another Christian community but did not receive further catechetical formation or instruction.
• Those seeking full Catholic Communion. These are baptized, practicing Christians from other denominations who seek entry into the Catholic Church.
